AEG Employee Spotlight: Lane Penberthy Sales Coordinator

by AEG on June 14, 2023 in AEG News

Tell us about what you do at AEG.

I work with both our sales and recruiting teams, supporting them with whatever they need. I also do all of the onboarding for our consultants, making sure they’re fully prepared to start their new roles.

How long have you been with the company?

I have been with AEG for about 7 months.

What inspires you most about working on the AEG team?

Everyone around me is inspiring. The team works so incredibly hard and is so supportive in both work life and personal life. It is an amazing team that I am really lucky to be a part of.

How does AEG support your career and personal goals?

AEG supports my career and personal goals by giving me all the tools to be successful. Everyone is always willing to answer any question or lend a helping hand.

What’s the #1 quality you feel is important to achieving success in the staffing industry?

I think the top quality to have to achieve success in the staffing industry is tenacity. Whether you’re going through a high or a low, stay focused and keep your eyes on your end goal, and you’ll come out stronger on the other side.

What are the toughest challenges you’ve had at work? The biggest wins?

My biggest wins have been seeing how supportive everyone at AEG is of each other. Every victory is celebrated, and everyone is truly rooting for every single person in the office.

The toughest challenge has been just the lull of IT job orders that we have seen in the first quarter of this year.

What’s a unique trait or something that differentiates you from others in your position?

I take a lot of pride in the relationships I build with candidates. I truly want to find them opportunities that align with their short-term and long-term goals.

What’s the biggest benefit to partnering with a staffing firm in a job search/search for talent?

The biggest benefit for jobseekers is you have someone in your corner when it comes to hitting it off with a client. You have someone who is willing to go to bat for you and present you in a great light!

If you could give one piece of advice to a candidate/client, what would it be?

My biggest piece of advice is keep an open line of communication as often as you can. Keeping all parties involved on the same page makes the entire process so much easier and smoother.

What’s your favorite thing to do in St. Louis?

My favorite thing to do in St. Louis is going to Blues and Cardinals games!
