Tell us about what you do at AEG.
I am a Technical Recruiter for AEG. My daily tasks include reviewing job descriptions and candidate profiles, sourcing for candidates, and building professional relationships with people from all across the country.
How long have you been with the company?
I started at AEG in January of 2022, so a little over a year!
What inspires you most about working on the AEG team?
The continuous support and camaraderie. Every team member offers encouragement and guidance through the highs and lows, both personally and professionally. It truly feels like AEG is a family.
How does AEG support your career and personal goals?
Each team member is open to lending a helping hand and providing a collaborative and fun environment.
What’s the #1 quality you feel is important for achieving success in the staffing industry?
Understanding that business follows relationships. When you build meaningful, honest relationships and base your conversations on understanding the needs of others and offering a helping hand, you will then build success.
What are the toughest challenges you’ve had at work? The biggest wins?
I think we can all agree disappointment is tough. Having to let a candidate know they were not selected for the position they interviewed for is probably the most difficult part of my job.
Some of the biggest wins come from watching a candidate accept a life-changing offer that they are genuinely excited for!
What’s a unique trait that differentiates you from others in your position?
I take the time to truly understand the needs of my candidates. I would never want to put candidates in a position where they were uncomfortable with the role they’re stepping into. I try to truly identify what they are looking for in their careers long term.
What’s the biggest benefit to partnering with a staffing firm in a job search/talent search?
The biggest benefit to partnering with a staffing firm is that we have a relationship already established with our clients. We can provide feedback and guidance throughout the entire job search process from application to offer.
If you could give one piece of advice to a candidate/client, what would it be?
Remember we are all human! Interviews are just productive professional conversations, and we are all just searching for the best mutual fit.
What’s your favorite thing to do in St. Louis?
Saint Louis has so much to offer! I love trying new restaurants around town. When the weather is nice, I love to take my daughter to the Saint Louis Zoo!
