Tell us about what you do at AEG.

I collaborate with my team to find top talent for our partners looking for passionate, driven individuals to join them in their work. After taking the time to thoroughly research each career opportunity we offer, I clearly communicate AEG’s career opportunities to candidates while making sure the roles align with their professional backgrounds and goals.

Candidates know they can always reach out to me with questions, concerns, or just to chat throughout the interview and placement processes. The relationships we develop with our candidates are forever!

How long have you been with the company?

Just over a year! It has flown by.

What inspires you most about working on the AEG team?

The drive and dedication of all my colleagues is unparalleled. Their tenacity and desire to be the best at what they do at AEG is inspirational. Our industry can have highs and lows, but no matter what happens, we all push through and look towards our future goals and successes.

How does AEG support your career and personal goals?

AEG provides us with opportunities to grow in various ways throughout the company and continuously learn. As the Mastercard Specialist for our company, I am extremely grateful and eager to learn as much as I can about the culture at Mastercard and what they look for in their candidates. I have loved the opportunity to teach my teammates about Mastercard and their values as well.

What’s the #1 quality you feel is important to achieving success in the staffing industry?

You must be a person of character to grow in our field. Honesty, integrity, fairness, and kindness are integral to being an effective recruiter. Taking the time to listen and understand what our partners and candidates are looking for is crucial for achieving success.

What are the toughest challenges you’ve had at work? The biggest wins?

Toughest challenge: Learning to let go of what you cannot control. Investing time and energy into candidates who don’t make it through the final stages of the interview process can be heartbreaking, but we always keep looking for new opportunities for the candidates we work with until they have landed their ideal role.

Biggest win: When our candidates start their new career journeys! There’s no better feeling than watching them flourish while being so joyful and at ease. Our candidates often come from toxic work environments or companies with uncertain futures, and we’re able to provide them with a long-term, supportive place to grow in their careers.

What’s a unique trait or something that differentiates you from others in your position?

Having lived in various places around the United States, I have the opportunity to connect with our candidates from across the country on a more personal level. This connection helps candidates feel more comfortable and be more open during our conversations.

What’s the biggest benefit to partnering with a staffing firm in a job search/search for talent?

When a company partners with AEG, they can put their complete trust in AEG presenting candidates who are top tier in their field, passionate about their work, and have great desires to grow and learn.

When a candidate works with AEG, their chances of being interviewed with a company increase exponentially. Our partner companies place great trust in AEG, and they know we make good on our promise to bring forth the top candidates they’re searching for.

If you could give one piece of advice to a candidate/client, what would it be?

For candidates, it should be to learn as much as you can about the culture, history, and goals of a company before you go into an interview. For companies, it’s to look for candidates who have a firm understanding of the skills they bring to the table and how they would contribute to the workplace culture.
