What Happens at Each Step of the Interview Process?
Screening Call
During the initial screening call, a recruiter will take the time to get to know you, your career background, your experiences, and your professional goals. This conversation helps us understand your skills and interests so we can identify opportunities that align with your long-term career goals, whether immediately available or in the future. We may also discuss your general availability and preferences to help us match you with potential opportunities as they arise.
Interview Prep Call
Interview prep calls are strongly encouraged by all our recruiters and are an important part of our support for candidates. These calls will typically happen 1-2 days before your interview and last around 20-30 minutes. During the call, recruiters will provide potential questions you may encounter, review key talking points, and help you feel confident going into the interview. We also use this time to hear any questions you may have about the role, company, or interview process, so you can feel fully prepared before your interview.
Interview
Once you’ve completed your screening and interview preparation with AEG, you’ll interview directly with the client team you’ll potentially be joining. This conversation will focus on your experience, technical qualifications, and overall fit for the role. Your AEG recruiter will help you prepare and will remain available throughout the process.
After Interview Debrief
After your interview, we will schedule a debrief phone call to discuss how it went. During this call, the recruiter will ask you how you felt the interview went, what questions were asked, and how you responded. This conversation helps recruiters understand your experience, gather feedback from your perspective, and plan the next steps in the process. It also gives you an opportunity to address any questions or concerns you may have and to provide guidance as we move forward.
Offer/Ongoing Relationship
If you receive an offer, your AEG recruiter will contact you directly to review the details, answer any questions, and guide you through the next steps. Once you accept, we will support you through onboarding and remain a resource throughout your assignment or employment.
If you are not selected for a particular opportunity, our relationship does not end there. Your recruiter will continue to keep you informed of relevant openings, provide feedback when available, and work with you to identify future opportunities that align with your skills and career goals.
At AEG, we focus on building long-term relationships, not just filling a single position.
