Tell us about what you do at AEG.

I am a recruiter specializing in IT and engineering. My main role involves finding potential candidates, conducting thorough screenings, and building strong connections between these jobseekers and our clients.

 

How long have you been with the company?

I have been with AEG since January 2024, and it’s been such a rewarding experience!

 

What inspires you most about working on the AEG team?

The supportive and collaborative environment at AEG inspires me. It feels less like a workplace and more like a true team, where everyone pitches in towards common goals. This sense of community is really motivating to me.

 

How does AEG support your career and personal goals?

At AEG, we have countless opportunities to grow, whether it’s through collaborating with a charity or meeting with clients. AEG supports the direction in which you want to take your career. Also, the emphasis on work-life balance is crucial for me, allowing me the flexibility to manage my personal time and enjoy my life outside of work.

 

What’s the #1 quality you feel is important to achieving success in the staffing industry?

Being flexible! The industry is constantly changing, so it’s important to not sweat the small stuff and find the positives every day.

 

What are the toughest challenges you’ve had at work? The biggest wins?

One of my initial challenges was gaining a deep understanding of the IT and engineering sectors. Embracing this challenge has turned into a passion for learning about each role within these fields.

 

A major win for me was making my first hire within a few months of starting at AEG—it was a moment of great pride and joy.

 

What’s a unique trait or something that differentiates you from others in your position?

My background in B2B sales and as a marketing coordinator gives me a unique edge in my current role as a recruiter. Having worked across different industries, I bring diverse perspectives that enhance my ability to source effectively for specialized roles.

 

What’s the biggest benefit to partnering with a staffing firm in a job search/search for talent?

Working with a staffing firm like AEG can significantly enhance your job search or talent acquisition process. We provide a personalized approach, putting jobseekers directly in front of potential employers, which is much more effective than going the job search process alone. If you could give one piece of advice to a candidate/client, what would it be?

Be honest and invest time in preparing for interviews. Spending a few minutes familiarizing yourself with the company and role requirements will only make you feel more prepared and less nervous!

 

What’s your favorite thing to do in St. Louis?

I love taking my dog to Bar K!
